The work and safety boots ESD is an important means of reduction of development of the hazardous quantity of electro static discharge especially at workplaces in electronic industrial facilities where great emphasis is laid on increased quality, guarantee and reliability.

In the course of manufacture of electronic or electromagnetic devices (metal half-products, micro-chips etc.) even the slightest electro static discharge may cause invisible damage. Up to 60% failures of electronic components originate from unwanted electro static discharges in the course of the component manufacture when the staff works near electro statically sensitive processes, or directly handles materials, components and objects sensitive to electro static discharge. That is why the electronic industry has implemented a number of measures for prevention of these undesirable phenomena. An integral part of these measures is used of appropriate work shoes.

ESD boots may be marked with the ESD logo if the value of resistance of the passing electrical current pursuant to ČSN EN 61340 standard lies within the limits 1 x 105 Ω and 3.5 x 107 Ω.
