This ring was purchased at a vintage shop's jewelry pop-up event.
According to the seller, it was sourced in Denmark and described to them as a piece by a local artisan. Therefore, it has no markings or hallmarks.
The material is believed to be silver plated with gold.
It shows no reaction to a magnet.
It weighs 21g, and when weighed submerged in water (using a string), it weighs 3g. Breaking it in half results in a 7g piece, suggesting the inner material is indeed silver.
While authentic Nouvelle Vague rings are hollow, this one is solid and very substantial.
I own several authentic Cartier rings, and I find the brilliance of this ring to be very similar.
This is quite a rare and unusual piece, so I'm offering it to someone who will appreciate it.
