The name PRABOS comes from the Czech words PRacovní BOty Slavičín — Work Footwear Slavičín.
Slavičín is therefore more than just our company address. It is part of the brand itself and the place with which PRABOS manufacturing has been connected for generations.
This is where we build on the experience of local shoemakers and continue developing footwear for the demands of modern work, professional duty and outdoor use.

Each situation places different demands on footwear. That is why every model is designed around its actual purpose, with attention to construction, stability, weight, materials, outsole, water protection and other relevant properties.
Footwear for hot summer conditions needs a different construction from footwear designed for wet terrain. A person spending all day on a factory floor has different needs from someone moving through the mountains.
The goal is not to make one boot for everything. It is to make the right footwear for the job it is designed to do.
From materials to finished footwear
Good footwear is not defined by a single technology or material. What matters is the complete construction and how its individual components work together.
Depending on the purpose of the model, we combine leather, textile materials, linings, membranes, sole units and other structural or protective elements.
For occupational and safety footwear, the required protective properties and relevant certification are essential. In tactical and outdoor footwear, stability, water resistance, weight, breathability or comfort during long periods of wear may play a greater role.
The choice of materials and construction therefore always reflects what the specific model is intended to handle.
A tradition that continues
Footwear has been made in Slavičín for generations. During that time, materials, production technologies and the demands placed on footwear have changed significantly.
For us, tradition does not mean doing things the same way forever. It means having experience to build on.
We combine long-standing manufacturing know-how with modern materials, constructions and technologies so that our footwear meets today’s requirements for occupational, tactical and outdoor use.
Our responsibility does not end with the sale
Footwear is made to be used — and use naturally leads to wear.
That is why we also offer post-warranty service for selected models and constructions. If a repair is technically possible and makes sense given the condition of the footwear, our service team will assess the available options.
Repairability always depends on the specific model, construction, age and actual condition of the pair.
